Manchester United midfielder Schweinsteiger could leave this summer

Man Utd's big name capture last summer might be facing a short stay at Old Trafford after an injury wrecked debut term.

Bastian Schweinsteiger's days at Manchester United could be numbered.
Twelve months ago this week the German World Cup winner made his debut for the Reds against Club America at the CenturyLink Field in Seattle and was hailed as a masterstroke big name signing by then manager Louis van Gaal.
But the midfielder, who'll be 32 on August 1, might not find it is a case of many happy returns when he gets back to United's training complex.
Schweinsteiger's injury record last season at United has put a big question mark over his future under new Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho .
It took him a while to get up to Premier League speed last autumn and then he suffered a knee injury in January in the FA Cup game against Sheffield United that cost him 13 matches.
He returned in spring for four substitute appearances and then suffered a knee ligament injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Schweinsteiger made it back for Germany's Euro 2016 bid that ended at the semi final stage.
He has since been on holiday and got married. Like all the United players in the Euros, he has been given a three-week break and would be due back in England after United's two-match tour of China and friendly against Galatasaray in Sweden.
