Twitter Reacts To Lionel Messi's Retirement

Argentina, yet again, lost out to Chile in the Copa America Final for the second consecutive tournament. But that wasn't the whole story as their influential talisman has decided to call time on his international career.

After goalless during normal and additional time, the game was set to be decided on a penalty shootout where Lionel Messi and Lucas Biglia fluffed their lines en route to their 4-2 defeat to Chile, who claimed a second Copa America title. Following more international misery the 29-year-old quit the national team, as well as Javier Mascherano.

Unsurprisingly, social media went into overdrive reacting to Messi's missed spot kick and decision to retire.
