Manchester United ready to seal Pogba deal
Paul Pogba could soon be a Manchester United player.
Manchester United are closing in on Paul Pogba.
United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is still finalising the details of what is likely to be a world record deal with the Frenchman's agent, Mino Raiola, and his club Juventus.
Woodward was not present on United's flight to Shanghai for the start of United's pre-season tour of China on Tuesday as negotiations continued.
However, United are so confident of completing the move that they have ended their interest in Pogba's Juventus team-mate Stefano Sturaro, considered a back up target if Pogba decided to stay in Italy.
The deal, which could reach £101m, would make the 23-year-old, who is currently on holiday in Miami, the most expensive footballer in the world, eclipsing the £86m Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013.
On Thursday, Pogba's Miami hairdresser posted a picture of the midfielder on Instagram with the caption: “Had to change up Pogba's hair colour for his new team.” The post has since been deleted.
