Yaya Toure 's representatives claim the Manchester City midfielder has received TWO offers which would see him earn £300,000 a week.
The Blues star still has a year left on his contract , but is expected to leave the club this summer – and there have been suggestions he will buy himself out of the remainder of his deal.
And now a report suggests that two clubs in the blossoming Chinese league – Shanghai SIPG and Jiangsu Suning - have made offers which would INCREASE the £240,000 a week wages he picks up at City.
The source told the Sun: “Yaya’s had his people meeting with both Shanghai and Jiangsu and they have both made firm offers.
“Buying himself out of his contract at City would not be a problem because he would recoup it twice over from the signing on fee he would get for coming over here.”
SIPG are managed by ex-City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson and have already signed ex-Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan on £227,000 a week.
Jiangsu have also been spending big, splashing out £25million for Chelsea star Ramires and then £37million on Brazilian Alex Teixeira.
Toure is now 33 and has a good relationship with the City hierarchy, but they are sick of the disruptive pronouncements of his agent Dmitri Seluk.
And with the midfielder's powers now on the wane – he was on the bench for the last two games of the season – City will want to recoup some money for him.
Toure joined City in 2010 for a fee of £25million and has helped them to win two Premier League titles, the FA Cup abd League Cup.
