Paul Scholes Takes Aim At Louis Van Gaal - AGAIN

Paul Scholes slams Manchester United's season under Louis van Gaal: "It's not good enough"

United won the FA Cup for the first time in 12 years on Saturday but have underperformed in the Premier League and in Europe

Paul Scholes has criticised Louis van Gaal on a number of occasions this season

Paul Scholes has again criticised Manchester United's style under Louis van Gaal and says their season simply hasn't been good enough.
United ended a disappointing campaign on a high on Saturday with victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
However, Scholes, speaking in his role as BT Sport pundit, said United should have done better in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Van Gaal's side could only muster a fifth-placed finish in the top flight and were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage, despite being drawn in what looked like a maneuverable group.

Scholes said: "I think the big thing is the style of play we've seen from Manchester United over the last year. It's not been what you expect.
"Louis van Gaal has said that himself. He talked last week about the need to choose creative players to create more chances, that's exactly what Manchester United do. They [used to] go for the throat all the time.
"At the start of every season, Manchester United's target is to win the league. Full stop.
"Ok, you're not going to do that all the time but you have to at least have a chance. To finish fifth, it's not good enough. To go out of the Champions League in a poor group, it's not good enough.

United were dumped out of the Champions League in December

"You have to say they can go on from this [winning the FA Cup]. They've got a nucleus of good young players, they have to buy better than they have done over the last two years, and take it from there and hopefully they can challenge next year, whoever is in charge."
The man in charge at Old Trafford next season is expected to be Jose Mourinho, after it on Saturday night emerged Van Gaal will not see out the final year of his three-year contract.
The Dutchman is set to be officially relieved of his duties by Ed Woodward within the next 24 to 48 hours, with Mourinho expected to sign a three-year deal to become the club's third manager in four years at the start of the week.
