Wilshere is reportedly on City's wanted list
Jack Wilshere has moved to the top of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City wanted list after the signing of Ilkay Gundogan - according to reports.
The England international has been linked with a move to the Etihad for some time and is currently preparing for the European Championships.
According to The Sun, Guardiola wants to add more English talent to City's squad - and has identified Wilshere as a prime target.
The 24-year-old has two years left on his current Arsenal deal and it is claimed he would be interested in a move to City to link up with Guardiola.
City's incoming manager is targeting as many as six more signings before the transfer window closes - as exclusively revealed by MEN Sport.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has been promised the funds to bring in some of the world's best players in a bid to return City to the summit of English football.
Despite signing Gundogan, it is understood he will look to further strengthen the midfield he inherits from Manuel Pellegrini.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail claim Manchester United are exploring the possibility of a move for long-term City target Lionel Messi.
City have dreamed of bringing the Barcelona superstar to the Etihad and remain convinced they will be his first choice if he ever leaves the Nou Camp.
