Loris Karius has arrived at Liverpool to have his medical and complete his £4.7million switch to Anfield.

It is understood personal terms have been agreed and that Karius will finalise his move once he passes his medical today.

The Germany Under-21 goalkeeper was at Manchester City's Academy as a teenager between 2009 and 2011 and played for their Under-18 and Under-21 sides.

Boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to increase the competition for Simon Mignolet, who signed a new deal earlier this year, and Adam Bogdan has not been a success at Anfield.

The 6ft 2ins Karius, 22, is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga and a future full international for Germany.
